A strengthening economy and increased competition in the cruise industry has led to a flood of new cruise advertising hitting the airwaves. Competition for mindshare has heated up. So Holland America Line asked us to react quickly to create a breakthrough television spot.

We flew to the Bahamas to capture new HD aerial footage of the Eurodam. Then we combined the new stuff with existing Hey footage from our previous Caribbean and Alaska shoots.

The 30-second brand ode, is part of our new integrated campaign highlighting the unique ways Holland America Line reveals the world to guests – one part adventure, one part pure luxury.

An effectiveness study revealed a 91% unaided recall score for the spot, with 80% of respondents rating it their favorite on a reel of current national spots. Not bad considering competitors outspent us by millions on their advertising, and Hey was able to pull this one off quickly, at a fraction of that cost.
